Beautiful, dark, ruby red color. Typical aromas of Carmenère exude from the glass. Different layers of dark fruit such as forest fruits, cherries and plums with hints of paprika, pepper and soft herbs. The mouth is pleasant and juicy with a typical bitterness typical of Carmenère. It complements its mature character nicely and provides balance.
With their tasty savory and versatile character, the wines of Viña Republica are the perfect wine to a festive buffet or all kinds of snacks and tapas. Carmenère as it is or also likes a nice piece of beef, Mediterranean stews, lamb and medium-ripened to spicy cheeses.
- climate
-
The climate is a mediterenean with mild winters with little precipitation. The proximity of the Andes and the Pacific Ocean determine and regulate the weather and provide cooling during the night. The vineyards in the east of the valley are cooled by the Andes more than the rest and give grapes with a firmer acidity.
- soil
-
Several vineyards in Central Valley. The soil contains a lot of lime and clay and is strewn with boulders.
- vinification
-
A mix of cooler and warmer vineyards to make the best possible blend. A long maceration and cool fermentation give the wine its tasty and pure character. Afterwards they rest on stainless steel to ripen and optimally harmonize their generous taste.
